Welcome to the PQ Girls Softball Registration page.

The Spring season typically goes from February to May with registration opening in mid-late October or early November.

The Fall season typically goes from September to November with registration opening in mid-late July or early August.

2024 PQGSA Summer All-Stars

Beginning in April, players from Rec teams will be nominated by their Rec coaches for All-Stars.

This sign-up is strictly to express interest and does not guarantee a spot on an All-Star team. The sign-up will be used to confirm interest for players who have been nominated.

All-Star tryouts are planned to be held on Thursday May 2, 2024 @ 5:00PM at Canyonside Park, with teams formed shortly thereafter and practices beginning on Sunday 5/5/2024.

To be eligible for All-Stars, you must have played in 75% of your Rec Team’s games during the Spring season.

There will be at least two teams (one each in 8U and 10U PQ Lightning/Gold) who will play in Southern California.

If there is sufficient talent, interest, and most importantly, volunteer coaches, additional teams may form in each age group (PQ Thunder/Silver or Bolts/Bronze depending on the number of coaches and interest).

Lightning/Gold teams play tournaments every weekend starting in mid-May and through the July 4th weekend.

Thunder/Silver teams will play a reduced tournament schedule.

Bronze teams (if applicable) will play 2-3 tournaments (the PQ tournament and one additional tourney likely the weekend before 4th of July).

During each tournament, teams will play 3-7 games on a single weekend (2-3 pool games, then single elimination playoffs).

During Memorial Day weekend in late May, All-Star Families are required to help run the PQ Memorial Classic Tournament. This is a requirement for any families participating in the All-Star season. Responsibilities include but are not limited to Snack Bar support, Fields prep, Park clean-up and maintenance, parking control, etc.

All Gold and Silver teams will be eligible for the District Tournament (mid-late June).

All teams who place in the top 3 in districts qualify for the State Tournament (early-mid July).

For 10U and older teams, teams may be eligible for Western Nationals (late July) based on their performance in the State Tournament

8U teams will typically conclude their All-Star season in mid-July. They may be eligible for a regional tournament depending on their performance in the state tournament.

Families who opt to play All-Stars are committed to playing through all tournaments if their teams qualify. The league may be sanctioned by USA Softball if a team qualifies for a tournament but does not participate; sanctions may include but not be limited to prohibiting future All-Star participation.

The cost of All-Stars is NOT covered by the normal Spring season registration fees, it is an additional cost that is determined when teams are formed.

Additional costs may also include at two+ nights at hotels and additional time commitment from the families if their teams are scheduled for out of town tournaments.
