  • Does my child need experience?

Our programs welcome new and returning players across a variety of skill levels, ages, and competitiveness levels. Whether your daughter is just getting started, looking to build her skills, or ready for a more competitive experience, she can find a program where she can learn, meet teammates, and grow.

  • How often do you practice?

Practice is twice a week for the older age groups and once a week for the younger age groups.

  • What is included in the registration fee?

Registration fees typically cover league administration, scheduling, officials (if applicable), and facility usage.

Uniforms, equipment, and tournament fees may vary by program and are noted during registration.

  • What is your refund or cancellation policy?

Refund policies vary by program and are outlined during registration. In general, refunds may be available before the season begins, minus any administrative or processing fees.

  • How can I contact the organization with questions?

Email execboard@pqgsa.org or use our Contact Us page. Let us know which program or division you’re asking about so we can direct your question.

  • What equipment is required?

We have a general equipment guidance, including a glove, softball bat, batting helmet, cleats, and athletic clothing. Ask about division-specific requirements or available league equipment. We also offer a used equipment program to help families access gear as girls age out of their equipment.

  • Are volunteers or coaches needed?

Yes! Our programs rely on volunteer coaches and helpers.

If you’re interested in volunteering, you can indicate your interest during registration or contact us directly.

  • How will I receive updates and announcements?

Keep your registration email address current and watch for league and team communications.

You can also follow @pqsoftball for news, community moments, and reminders.

  • Are games played on holidays?

Holiday schedules vary by program. Any planned games or breaks will be communicated in advance.

  • How are coaches trained or screened?

Coaches are required to complete background checks and training based on organization policies and requirements.

We can help prospective volunteers understand the steps before taking on a role.
