Parent Questions

6. What are my responsibilities as a parent?

You are responsible for getting your child to practices, games, and other team functions on time. For league games this usually means at least 30 to 60 minutes prior to game time. Your manager will let you know the exact times. You are also responsible for picking up your child promptly afterwards, unless other arrangements are made with the manager ahead of time. Please do not rely on the manager or coaches for transporting your child to and from games.

Maintain a two-way line of communication with the team manager. You should keep each other advised of scheduling changes or problems involving attendance at games and/or practices. Call in advance if your child will miss a practice or game.

Obey all league rules. Attend league and team functions whenever possible. Attend as many games as possible and cheer for the players. Remember that our league will not tolerate derogatory remarks, gestures, and other unsportsmanlike behavior. Your interests and participation are highly desirable, but remember to let the managers and coaches do their jobs. Negative remarks to the Umpires will not be tolerated. The Umpires are in full control of the game and may eject you from the area. If you have an objection or a complaint about the umpires, notify the division coordinator, the umpires coordinator, or any board member as shown in our directors section.

Keep the area around the field of play free of trash. And remember to pick up the trash after your team has had their post game snacks. Keep the fire lane open. Please do not park in the fire lane area or on the grass. Observe a 5 miles per hour speed limit in all parking areas.

If you have time, please volunteer and help out.
