4. What if it rains?
On rainy days, we are sometimes able to determine whether or not there will be games early in the day, at which time the division coordinators will notify the managers, and the managers will notify the players. We will also try to post rain out status on the WEB site (under the NEWS section) and on the league hotline phone number.
Once a game is started, only the umpires at the field can call a rained out game. This does not apply to the 8U and T-Ball divisions. There are no umpires for these games and the managers can call rain outs if conditions are too wet to play.
If you do not receive a phone call from your manager or team parent, it is important that you still show up for your game. If you do not show up you may place your team in jeopardy of a forfeit. Even if it is raining in your part of town, it may be dry at the playing field.
If your game has been rained out, you will be notified by your manager of a rescheduled date as soon as it is available. Division coordinators do the rescheduling. Games are not always rescheduled in the 8U and T-Ball divisions since these games are non-competitive. Updated schedules may also be posted on the WEB site. Please DO NOT call the division coordinators to inquire about rescheduled game dates, or to request dates for reschedules. Only managers should contact their division coordinators if there are questions about rescheduled games.
